WHO ARE WE?

#SaveDaredevil is a campaign effort by a network of Daredevil fans from all over the world. Initially formed as RenewDaredevil.com (#RenewDaredevil) to help rally fan support for a fourth season of Marvel’s Daredevil on Netflix, its focus shifted in the aftermath of Daredevil’s cancellation in November 2018.

In less than a week we became the voice for a Daredevil fan campaign recognized by news articles, actors, and global websites. Tens of thousands of loyal Daredevil fans came to us for guidance. We wanted to show Marvel, Disney and everyone else that Daredevil has a passionate fanbase, willing to fight for the future of this show.

As the official #SaveDaredevil campaign, we’ve hosted online fan events and physical meet-ups, made convention appearances, and kept a steady online presence across several social media platforms. There have been letter-writing campaigns to key stakeholders, online trending events, more than $12,000 raised for charity through various fundraising initiatives, and even a virtual #SaveDaredevil con! In September 2020, we premiered our official Daredevil podcast, #TalkDaredevil, and we also comment regularly on new developments through both English and Spanish-language videos produced for our YouTube channel.

Thanks in large part to the support of the #FandomWithoutFear – the hundreds of thousands of people around the world who support the #SaveDaredevil cause, including members of the cast and crew – we saw real success come our way. In December 2021, Charlie Cox officially returned to the role of Matt Murdock in a brief appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home and Vincent D’Onofrio reprised his role as Wilson Fisk in the Disney+ television show Hawkeye.

While these steps were very encouraging and brought tremendous joy and excitement to the fans of the original Daredevil, we viewed them as just that: Steps in the right direction. Then in May 2022, the dream was finally realized when the Hollywood trades reported Marvel Studios was developing a “new but continued” Daredevil series for Disney+, starring Charlie Cox. In July 2022, we received the jaw-dropping, official confirmation, straight from Kevin Feige inside Hall H, that Daredevil was indeed returning as a series, and with a first season of eighteen episodes!!

With Daredevil now saved, we are #SavedDaredevil. And our sincere hope is to see the fandom continue to grow, and that you will stick with us as we transition to become an essential hub for all your Daredevil news and hype.

DONATE TO #Saveddaredevil

Your time, support and participation in our campaign has been crucial to our success. But if you want to support our ongoing efforts financially, you can do that too!

You can donate through our official SaveDaredevil Ko-Fi page, which includes details on specific goals we are currently fundraising for, if we are working toward any needs. Collected funds will be targeted for needs ranging from basic campaign upkeep, like hosting for our website and campaign domains, to larger press-generating gestures (TBD). We will always be as transparent as possible when it comes to the disbursement of money from any collected #SaveDaredevil donations, including posting cost breakdowns and possibly setting up a future page for followers to track the usage of funds. Any leftover monies not required for our campaign goals will be donated to a vision-based charity or other charitable organization as voted by the #SaveDaredevil supporters!
